Christmas Tree Festival 2011
Despite the snow in 2010 those who saw the 80 Christmas trees in Aylesford Church agreed that it was a WOW!! So we are repeating it this year, and you are invited to display a tree - for FREE!

We hope that we will again have 70 or more trees of all sizes, from individuals, families, local companies, schools, voluntary groups, people celebrating a wedding anniversary, etc etc. This is a way for you to advertise your company/group for free or just to have fun or to celebrate something in your life. Children are welcome to exhibit trees as well.

We are looking for unusual trees; some ideas last year were:

The Deficit
Help 4 Heroes
A bit of a Ding Dong (by the Handbell ringers)
Campfire Tree (by the Scouts)
Trigonomotree
And a Lavatree!

Your tree can be of any size but the organizers will choose where to place it in the church. It will need a title and battery lights (our church electric would be unable to cope with large numbers of electric lights).

The festival will be open to the public on the weekends 3rd-4th December and 10th-11th December and there will be refreshments throughout. Children under 16 will enter free, while adults (those 16 and over) will be charged £3 and half the proceeds from entrance charges will go to the Heart of Kent Hospice. Visitors will vote their favourite tree.

The festival will include a reception for exhibitors on Friday 2nd December, a Christmas Brass Band concert suitable for all ages on Saturday 3rd December at 3pm and our Sunday services including a Christingle Family Service on 4th December at 10am.

We hope that it will be a BIG event!
