Welcome
to this website! Aylesford is a beautiful village/town in north Kent,
and this church has been here for about 700 years! So there's a brass
of a woman wearing the long, simple dress of the fifteenth century, the
helmets and swords of men in the seventeenth century, and windows from
Victorian days.
What a challenge to us as we enter the church:
it's just the same God that we try to know today as all those people
from centuries past knelt before! So, yes, we aim to be a church at the
heart of the village community, but our main function is to try to get
know our God more and to show Him to other people.
Does it sound a bit pious? Perhaps, but what a great task to take on!
