Good Friday - Fauré's Requiem sung by Aylesford Choir

Good Friday -
Fauré's Requiem sung by Aylesford Choir

For many years it has been the tradition of our choir to mark one of the most important days of the church calendar - Good Friday - by performing a major choral work and this year is no exception. Under Michael's expert guidance and Helen's patience at the piano, we have been learning, or relearning for some, Fauré's Requiem. This year, almost all our Junior choir will be taking part and they really help to boost the soprano line. We are also being joined by several friends from other choirs as well as James Preston, who will sing the baritone solos.

As I say, rehearsals are going very well and all we need now is an audience to listen to us on Good Friday. We do hope that as many of you as possible will be able to spare an hour or so to come. It is a really moving piece of music and we are doing our very best to give a perfect performance. Please come and support us.
