From the Churchwardens_April 2016

As we have no vicar at the present time, it falls upon the two churchwardens to make sure that everything we do during this time continues in the same way as it has during Chris' time with us. It is emphasised by the Diocese that we should not change or introduce new things but just carry on as before. In this regard, we see this as keeping our readers informed.
On the 9th March, Chris was installed in his new parishes of St. Andrew, Sutton Park and St. Peter, Wawne with a population of some 26,000 (soon to be increased by 6,000 new houses) on the outskirts of Hull. Twelve members of our congregation travelled the two hundred or so miles to attend this service - some arriving a couple of days before to have a look around the area. The service was conducted by Bishop Alison/the second female Bishop to be appointed by the Church of England - there are now many more) and was held in St. Andrew's Church which is a very modern building. St. Peter's Church is a very old building dating back to the 900s. Following the service there were refreshments provided by both churches.
Chris and Kathy are now settling into their new home - a detached four bedroomed modern house built about 12 years ago which is on an estate about a mile from one village and two miles from the other - very similar to the Kings Hill complex. It only remains to say that we wish them well for the future.
