Friends of Aylesford Church
There are many people in Aylesford and Eccles and further afield who have a deep affection for the village church and feel a loyalty towards it. For a variety of reasons they may not attend the church but they love the building, with the bells and the churchyard and value its place in the village. You may have been married here, brought your children here for baptism, relatives may be buried in our quiet churchyard or you may love the history of the place. If so, you may wish to keep this link with the church by becoming a Friend of the church. 'The Friends' organise many events through the year, from Champagne Teas to jazz and brass concerts in church, and from garden safaris round Aylesford, to talks on historical/local topics. Funds raised support the fabric of the church building and the churchyard.
The Friends have made large contributions to the new Garden of Remembrance and to the Organ Appeal.
The fee for Annual membership can be as low as £5. This keeps you informed of future events and you will be invited to some 'Friends Only' occasions.
