King of Compassion - Sunday 10am
This Sunday, we reach the end of the Church year, as after living through all the ups and downs of Jesus' life, as told to us by Matthew, we celebrate what Jesus has been showing us all along, that he is our true King; sovereign over us, through all the ups and downs of our lives.
We end the year with a brilliant Gospel reading (Matthew 25.31-46), which takes us back to our Remembrance Day theme of judgement (and how the judgement of God co-exists with his astonishing grace). This weekend we think about the basis on which we will be judged. Maybe, in preparation, you could read through the Gospel reading, if you have the time, and work out for yourself what it is that really matters to our King.
Because of the lockdown situation, we continue with a Zoom-only service, which again, will be from the Vicarage. The link is the same as always, as below.
The service (Service of the Word) will be followed by a short, spoken service of Holy Communion for those who would like it.
The orders of service are here: 10am Service of the Word and Holy Communion.
If you'd like to share this week's theme with all ages in your family, here is the Ministry@Home sheet.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday morning.
