Sunday 10am - Open Minds

Why or when might we describe life as a rollercoaster? And when it feels like that, how do we find peace?

This Sunday we will focus on the Gospel reading, Luke 24.36-48. The two disciples have just returned to Jerusalem after their walk to Emmaus and back. They were comforted by their conversation with Jesus, but are still experiencing shock and confusion, especially as Jesus suddenly appears again. However, through his bodily presence and his words, their grief and doubt turns to joy ... and then understanding as Jesus explains the truth of who he is.

The disciples' experience of anxiety in the journey of faith can be encouraging to us, and offers an opportunity to explore how we respond in different situations. Our service theme is 'Open Minds'. What would help our minds to be open - when we are distressed - to know the peace of Christ and to trust in his word?

The service will again be a Service of the Word with Communion.

Here is the order of service. You will only need to print this if you are joining by Zoom; it will be supplied in church.
