Heard in the Storm - Sunday 10am
As far as we can tell, the Government announcement last Monday does not change anything with regard to the way services are organised, so this Sunday we will carry on as we have been on the third Sunday of the month, with a Service of the Word with Communion at 10am.
Our focus will be on the account of Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4.35-41). Mark describes the astonishment of the disciples, that Jesus does not appear to be alert to their circumstances and their fear. "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" they yell at the sleeping Jesus. How many times do we wonder if we've been heard, by Jesus, by other people, in the storms of our life? We will think about that. Sunday is also Fathers' Day and we will acknowledge the role of fatherhood, and give thanks for all in that role.
Here is the order of service. You will only need to print/access this if you are joining by Zoom; it will be supplied in church.
If you'd like to explore this Sunday's reading and ideas with all ages in your family here is this week's together@home sheet.
