Community Hub Update

community hub 7x5 - 1000w for

The Community Hub is off to a good start. Please spread the word as widely as you can. If you can think of anywhere where you can leave a few flyers or a poster, then please take them from the back of church (or download a poster here).

Aline is building up a programme of visitors, who are interested in seeing what we're up to and how they can help. Please feel free to come and talk with any of them.

Wed July 24th - Claire from Peabody, which is a handyman (should that be handy person, Aline? ??) service and help with funding for home improvements and so on.

Wed Aug 3rd - Leanne from Crossroads, who provide help for carers.

Wed 10th Aug - Knit & Natter starts with Linda. If this goes well it will be every 2nd Wednesday.

Dates are still to be confirmed for Kenward Trust and DAVSS (the domestic abuse charity for our area), and Andrew Kennedy will visit some time in August and is interested in a regular 'surgery' slot with us.

If you would like any more information about any of these organisations, visit the Hub on the day the representative is there if you can, or have a word with Aline. If you have a suggestion for another organisation, let Aline know that too.

The Community Hub cafe area will be open every week, come rain or shine, and it is open for EVERYONE. If you just fancy a coffee, come in. If you are new to the area and would like to meet people, come in. If you are lonely and want some company - come in. If you have nothing to do, come and be company for others who come.

There is no charge for the food and drink (although you may donate if you would like to).

We can't stress enough that this is for YOU! You don't have to be lonely or in need. Just come and be part of the adventure - help to create a welcoming, inclusive, flourishing, mutually-supporting space!
