A service that focuses on generosity with our money, and specifically about how our money supports and grows the life of the church. We are asked to, in our own time, prayerfully review our current giving to work out for ourselves if an increase is possible and right for us. Generosity is at the heart of our faith; God gave his son to the world because he loved it so much. Harvest is the perfect time to think about generosity as we marvel at at the wonder and blessing of God's creation. We reflect on God's generosity to us and explore how we can grow even more in generosity. Sermon at 19.10.

A small boy gives his picnic to Jesus and 5000 people are blessed. What does God do with what we bring to him, even when we're convinced it can't be enough? 2 Kings 4.42-44 and John 6.1-15 will help us look at the effect of our generosity and sharing of what ever we have. Also includes a presentation of the changes being made to Sunday Services following the relaxation of Covid regulations.

Our focus was on the account of Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4.35-41). Mark describes the astonishment of the disciples, that Jesus does not appear to be alert to their circumstances and their fear. "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" they yell at the sleeping Jesus. How many times do we wonder if we've been heard, by Jesus, by other people, in the storms of our life? Sunday was also Fathers' Day and we acknowledged the role of fatherhood, and gave thanks for all in that role.

Today we think about the potential of prayer – can we stretch our imaginations beyond prayer as words spoken in a certain way or in a certain place? We hear part of Jesus’ beautiful high priestly prayer and reflect on prayer as who we are and what we do.
